Softball Recap: Tokay Tigers vs. Lincoln Trojans

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tracy, Tokay was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Lincoln Trojans 10-9. The high-scoring effort was just what Tokay needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Sophia Galletti 2027 made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (she also didn't allow any walks). Galletti 2027 was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, a stolen base, and a double.

In other batting news, Makayla Lawson 2024 was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Cloe Alves 2026 was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

On Lincoln's side, Alicia Ott was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and a triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Mallory Wagner, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Tokay is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1.
