Basketball Game Preview: O'Connor Panthers vs. Steele Knights

Hurst is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last six games he's played. Jayden Ibarra was another key player, as he made all 5 shots he took to post 13 points.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Steele's strategy against Nixon on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Knights blew the Mustangs out of the water with an 84-56 final score. The win continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

O'Connor's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Steele, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

O'Connor couldn't quite get it done against Steele in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 as they fell 67-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Knights' Maurice Eddie, who shot 50% from the field en route to 22 points along with five boards and three steals.
