Softball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Alliance Aviators. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 29th.

Washington now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Alliance, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-17 record.

Looking ahead, Washington will face off against Archbishop Hoban at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Alliance, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Canton Central Catholic on the 12th.
