            Softball Recap: Petersburg Buffaloes vs. Ralls Jackrabbits        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Petersburg). They walked away with  a   24-20  win over the Ralls Jackrabbits  on Tuesday. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Buffaloes as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.
 KYNLEE OVALLE was  incredible,  scoring four  runs and  stealing  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all six of her plate appearances.  E Rendon was another key player,  scoring three  runs while  getting on base  in five of her six plate appearances.

 Petersburg  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .592. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in February of 2024.
Petersburg's first  win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Ralls, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Petersburg will host Sudan  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for Ralls, they will welcome Liberty  at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Ralls has given up an average of 11.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
