Soccer Game Preview: Legacy vs. Brighton

The Legacy Lightning will head out to challenge the Brighton Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Brighton took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Legacy, who comes in off a win.

Legacy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and last Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat Thompson Valley by a goal, winning 2-1. Laina Dayhuff had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Lightning.

Meanwhile, Brighton and Poudre combined for 24 shots on goal last Tuesday, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. Brighton came up short against Poudre, falling 5-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Impalas recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Legacy now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Brighton, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Legacy took their win against Brighton in their previous matchup back in March of 2018 by a conclusive 6-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Legacy since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
