Volleyball Recap: Pender Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Pender was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Clinton Dark Horses, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dark Horses this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 11th.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-15, 25-15.

Jensen Bordeaux paced Pender's offense, picking up four kills. Bordeaux got some help from Ryley Bradshaw and her three assists. Bordeaux was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Clinton was led to victory by Cameron Marshburn and Jenna Jackson. Marshburn had 15 digs and four aces, while Jackson had 29 assists and five digs. Marshburn has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Pender's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Pender wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Southwest Onslow on the 2nd. As for Clinton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against South Lenoir on the 2nd.
