Basketball Recap: Foard Comes Up Short

Foard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They were dealt a 94-49 loss at the hands of the North Lincoln Knights. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Knights this season, with their most recent defeat being a 74-52 loss last Friday.

North Lincoln's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ty Chandler, who went 8-for-10 on his way to 19 points. What's more, Chandler also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in February of 2024. Ty Sanders was another key player, going 7-for-9 en route to 18 points and five rebounds.

Foard's defeat dropped their record down to 1-24. As for North Lincoln, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-5.

Foard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Lincoln, they and Statesville will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest, having both just played. North Lincoln knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 23 contests -- so hopefully Statesville likes a good challenge.
