The Hampden Broncos will head out to face off against the Old Town Coyotes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hampden is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Hampden was able to grind out a solid win over Bangor, taking the game 6-2. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Bodie Bishop spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Hampden saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ashton O'Roak, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base was O'Roak's first of the season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Old Town ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Hermon. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Coyotes.

The victory got Hampden back to even at 2-2. As for Old Town, their record now sits at 2-0.

Everything went Hampden's way against Old Town in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Hampden made off with a 6-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
