1. Pershing (Detroit)
2012-13 record: 25-1
Head coach: A.W. Canada

Pershing lost to Romulus by two in last year's Class A quarterfinals, but the Doughboys are the favorite this year thanks to the return of VCU commit Justin Tillman (6-7, F), Darsean Woodson (5-9, G) and Buffalo commit Mory Diane (6-3, G).

2. Consortium College Prep (Detroit)
2012-13 record: 20-4
Head coach: Tobias Tuomi

The Cougars lost to eventual champion Beecher in last year's Class C quarterfinals, but return superstar Josh Jackson, the nation's No. 2 recruit in the class of 2016 according to 247Sports, who is virtually unguardable.

3. Arthur Hill (Saginaw)
2012-13 record: 21-4
Head coach: Greg McMath

The Lumberjacks finished ranked No. 10 in the state last season in the MaxPreps Computer Rankings, but have one of the best 1-2 punches in the state this year. Junior Eric Davis (6-3, G) is being courted by the likes of Michigan State and Kansas, while freshman sensation Brian Bowen (6-6, F) has reportedly already received offers from Michigan State and Missouri.

4. Romulus
2012-13 record: 27-1
Head coach: Jerrett Smith

The Eagles won last year's Class A title with a 21-point victory over Southeastern in the final. Romulus head coach Greg Oates left to join Bobby Hurley's staff at Buffalo, but the Eagles should have no problems going deep into the playoffs with returners Deonte Bell, Kris Clyburn and Tyron Hamby leading the way.

5. University of Detroit Jesuit
2012-13 record: 21-5
Head coach: Pat Donnelly

The Cubs lost to Pershing in last year's regional final, but with the return of one of the state's top recruits, sophomore Cassius Winston (6-0, G), expect University of Detroit Jesuit to give Pershing another strong test.
