Softball Game Preview: Shepard Astros vs. Reavis Rams

Shepard has gone a perfect 10-0 against Reavis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Astros will host the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Reavis took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Shepard, who comes in off a win.

While Shepard's victory against Oak Lawn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Astros sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Spartans on Tuesday. The Astros haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Reavis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Richards.

Kenzie Welsh was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run and three RBI.

Shepard now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Reavis, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.
