Volleyball Recap: NorthPointe Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

NorthPointe Christian suffered their biggest defeat since September 5, 2024 on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to the Fruitport Trojans. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-18, 25-16.

Leading Fruitport to victory were Alexa Sweet and Regan Wilson. Sweet had 13 digs and ten assists, while Wilson had 11 digs and two aces. Those 13 digs gave Sweet a new career-high.

NorthPointe Christian's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-15. As for Fruitport, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 21-10-1.

NorthPointe Christian and Fruitport will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Mustangs see the court they'll take on Sparta at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th. As for Fruitport, their break will end when they face Grant at 5:00 p.m. on the 28th.
