Softball Game Preview: Mt. Carmel Sundevils vs. Torrey Pines Falcons

Mt. Carmel is 0-6 against Torrey Pines since April of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will take on the Torrey Pines Falcons in a tournament on Friday. Mt. Carmel will be strutting in after a win while Torrey Pines will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Mt. Carmel turned things around against San Pasqual on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Sundevils have posted against the Golden Eagles since May 16, 2017.

The team relied heavily on Clara Carter, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two).
