Basketball Recap: Coldspring-Oakhurst Takes a Loss

Coldspring-Oakhurst lost against Anderson-Shiro on January 10th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans fell to the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls 47-42. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly five points.

Coldspring-Oakhurst has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-20 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Anderson-Shiro, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coldspring-Oakhurst will challenge New Waverly at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Anderson-Shiro, they will face off against Trinity at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
