Marion scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Moundridge Wildcats by a score of 13-12. Warriors fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Wildcats since on Tuesday.

Jameson Looper was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Marion: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Luke Watkins, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Marion's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 5-7. As for Moundridge, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marion will host Canton-Galva at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Moundridge, they will welcome Bennington on Thursday.
