Basketball Recap: Hudson Comes Up Short

Hudson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grand Oaks Grizzlies. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 605th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 91st).

Hudson's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Grand Oaks, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Hudson will square off against China Spring at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Grand Oaks, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Willis at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
