James Wood came tearing into Thursday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Skyline Hawks. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-2 back in March.

James Wood's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. James Wood is set to face off against their familiar foe Fauquier at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Colonels 2.5, the Falcons 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Skyline will square off against rival Brentsville District at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
