Basketball Recap: BASIS - Prescott Comes Up Short

BASIS - Prescott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by American Heritage Academy 82-45.

When it comes to explaining why BASIS - Prescott lost, don't look at Raj Tung. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 16 on his way to 24 points and three steals. That was a full 53.3% of BASIS - Prescott's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Abner Chang was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points.

BASIS - Prescott's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for American Heritage Academy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Verde Valley the next time they take the court. BASIS - Prescott will host Verde Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while American Heritage Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
