Baseball Game Preview: Hendersonville Commandos vs. Station Camp Bison

The Hendersonville Commandos will challenge the Station Camp Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hendersonville will be strutting in after a victory while Station Camp will be coming in after a loss.

Hendersonville's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Gallatin 6-0. The win continues a trend for the Commandos in their matchups with the Green Wave: they've now won four in a row.

Not much got past Jakob Murphy, who gave up just four hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Gallatin off the board. Murphy has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Houston Bogle was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Trent Wood was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Station Camp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 7-1 to Rossview.

Hendersonville's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Station Camp, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Hendersonville beat Station Camp 6-3 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Commandos repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
