James Island extended their road winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Amelia Angelos. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ashley Ridge Swamp Foxes on Thursday for which the team can thank Angelos, who had 13 digs and three aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last three times she's played.

James Island not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Ashley Ridge between 16 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-16.

Ashley Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Gettings, who had 11 digs and two assists.

James Island's victory bumped their record up to 25-9-1. As for Ashley Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-17.
