Volleyball Game Preview: Tilden Blue Devils vs. Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park Hawks

The Tilden Blue Devils will head out to challenge the Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Tilden is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Carver just ended the team's three-match winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Challengers by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park took on Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus on Friday. The Hawks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ravens. The Hawks haven't had much luck with the Ravens recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Tilden's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Tilden beat Horizon Science Academy McKinley Park 2-0 when the teams last played back in September of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
