Basketball Recap: Rodriguez Gets the Win

Rodriguez lost to Granada back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Rodriguez Mustangs narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Granada Matadors 59-57. The 59-point effort marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

It was another big night for JoJo Rapolla, who went 8 for 10 on his way to 21 points. Those 21 points gave him a new career-high. Mason Adimora was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Rodriguez and bumps their season record up to 7-1. As for Granada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.

Rodriguez didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-50 win against Cordova on the 19th. Granada has also already played their next contest, a 56-42 defeat against Cardinal Newman on the 19th.
