Soccer Game Preview: Pajaro Valley vs. Watsonville

The Pajaro Valley Grizzlies will head out on the road to square off against the Watsonville Wildcatz at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pajaro Valley's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Pajaro Valley's offense. They fell 2-0 to Palma on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 825th, while the Chieftains are ranked 341st).

Meanwhile, Watsonville waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Trailblazers by a score of 3-1. That two goal margin sets a new team best for the Wildcatz this season.

Watsonville pushed their record up to 4-2-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Pajaro Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-5.
