Baseball Game Preview: Hamilton Huskies vs. Catalina Foothills Falcons

The Hamilton Huskies will challenge the Catalina Foothills Falcons at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Hamilton barely beat Pinnacle the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Hamilton put the hurt on Pinnacle with a sharp 13-6 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Catalina Foothills challenged Canutillo last Thursday. Catalina Foothills blew past Canutillo 13-2. The Falcons' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Paden Good was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Catalina Foothills let Ethan McQuade and Nate Shoemaker run wild. McQuade scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Shoemaker scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Those hits marked the first that McQuade got this season.

Hamilton pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Catalina Foothills, their record is now 4-0.
