Firth and Challis are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2023, but likely not for long. The Cougars will challenge the Vikings at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Firth is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Firth heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Friday. They came up short against Nampa Christian, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since April 14th.

Meanwhile, Challis came up short against Firth on Friday and fell 9-6. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kole Hansen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Jayden Shepard, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Firth's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Challis, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10-1.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Firth has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Challis struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Firth was able to grind out a solid win over Challis when the teams last played on Friday, winning 9-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
