Football Recap: Towers Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Towers lost against Putnam County back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Titans had to suffer through a 40-3 loss at the hands of the War Eagles. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Branan Griffin was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 76 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2024.

Towers now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Putnam County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Towers will challenge Utopian Academy for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Towers will be up against Utopian Academy for the Arts' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.63 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Putnam County, they will host Lamar County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense has only allowed 10.9 points per game this season, so the War Eagles' offense will have their work cut out for them.
