Rubidoux had lost seven straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 8-14 to make it eight. They came up short against the Jurupa Valley Jaguars, falling 11-0. Considering the last time the Falcons couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
As for Jurupa Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-13. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games.
For Jurupa Valley's part, Jerry Arevalo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched.
