Softball Recap: Analy Comes Up Short

Analy extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 9-10. They lost 12-0 to the Rancho Cotate Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since March 28th.

As for Rancho Cotate, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games.

For Rancho Cotate's part, Ella Kremer looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. Kremer has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Leila Figoni, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Tehani Guerrero was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Coming up, Analy will be playing in front of their home fans against Maria Carrillo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
