Volleyball Recap: Memphis Business Academy Comes Up Short

Memphis Business Academy came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Phoenix, falling 3-0. The Execs haven't had much luck with the Phoenix recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

While Memphis Business Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-5, 25-7, 25-18.

Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering was led to victory by Dahja Fletcher and Kaylee Norman. Fletcher had 21 aces, 13 digs, and eight kills, while Norman had 11 digs and six aces.

Memphis Business Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
