Recap: Hooper Bay Warriors vs. Unalaska Raiders
The Hooper Bay Warriors stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-28 margin over Unalaska. Winning may never get old, but Hooper Bay sure is getting used to it with their tenth in a row.
Hooper Bay's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Susie Long, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Long has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariana Tall-Lake, who scored 14 points.
Hooper Bay pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Unalaska, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Hooper Bay and Unalakleet will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Unalaska does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
