Recap: Pretty Prairie Bulldogs vs. Bucklin Red Aces
The Pretty Prairie Bulldogs lost against the Bucklin Red Aces back in December of 2014, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pretty Prairie took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bucklin.
Bucklin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sydnie Jones led the charge by scoring 17 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. The match was Jones' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Karlee Evans, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
Pretty Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bucklin, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pretty Prairie will be home for the holidays to greet Udall at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Udall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Pretty Prairie is ranked 78th). As for Bucklin, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Pawnee Heights at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th. Pawnee Heights is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
