Baseball Recap: Provo Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Provo proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Mountain Crest Mustangs. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Milo Rhineer was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Provo's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Mountain Crest, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Provo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-1 victory against West on the 12th. As for Mountain Crest, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-1 win against East on the 14th.
