For the first time this season, Austin will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Del Valle Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Austin is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Austin is looking to tack another W on to their season record, something they couldn't quite do against Anderson last Tuesday. Neither the Maroons nor the Trojans could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Austin's goal came courtesy of Max Neale, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Del Valle kept a clean sheet against Steele on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights. The result kept Del Valle happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 8th.

Del Valle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five matchups. With that draw, Austin's record moves to 5-2-1.

Austin couldn't quite get it done against Del Valle when the teams last played back in February of 2025 as they fell 2-0. Can the Maroons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
