Softball Recap: Mt. Lebanon Comes Up Short

Mt. Lebanon suffered their closest defeat since April 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Butler Golden Tornado by a score of 6-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Blue Devils of the 5-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Mt. Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Butler, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Lebanon will host Woodland Hills at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Butler, they will welcome Hempfield Area at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Golden Tornado surely won't give up without a fight.
