Baseball Recap: Louisville Comes Up Short

Louisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to the Columbus Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 two weeks ago.

Mitchell Turner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Josh Ammons, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Louisville's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Columbus, they pushed their record up to 5-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Louisville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 win against Noxubee County on the 12th. As for Columbus, they have also already played their next match, an 18-3 victory against West Lowndes on the 11th.
