Glenwood's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Thursday. They never let the Rochester Rockets get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won nine in a row.

The result came thanks to Irie Lohrenz's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hope Gilmore, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryleigh Kiel, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Glenwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in four consecutive matchups.

Glenwood's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.2 runs. As for Rochester, their loss dropped their record down to 20-7.

Glenwood and Rochester should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Titans (ranked eighth) will meet Williamsville (ranked 142nd) at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Rochester will take on Hillsboro at 4:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (62 vs. 345).
