Softball Recap: Anthem Prep Takes a Loss

Anthem Prep fell victim to Heritage Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Heritage Academy Heroes, falling 20-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Anthem Prep's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Heritage Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Anthem Prep will head out to take on Bagdad at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Anthem Prep has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Heritage Academy, they will challenge Horizon Honors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
