Volleyball Recap: Morley Stanwood Now 16-4 over Last 20 Games

After losing to Fremont the last time they met, Morley Stanwood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mohawks won by a set and slipped past the Packers 2-1.

Madeline Kozuch paced Morley Stanwood's offense, picking up ten kills. Kozuch got some help from Aivree Christensen and her 25 assists. Lila Prescott controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Morley Stanwood is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. As for Fremont, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-8.

Morley Stanwood and Fremont should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Mohawks (ranked 178th) will meet Lakeview (ranked 459th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Fremont will challenge Whitehall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (105 vs. 482).
