Baseball Recap: Washington Extends Winning Streak to Three

Washington won against Geneseo on Saturday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Panthers walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers. The win was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Carter Prina spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Washington saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eli Roedell, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Washington pushed their record up to 27-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Joliet Catholic, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-15.

As of now, neither Washington nor the Hilltoppers have any future games scheduled.
