Basketball Recap: Culbertson Takes a Loss

Culbertson and Circle squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Culbertson had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Circle Wildcats 65-37. The Cowboys have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meetings.

Several Cowboys players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Deen, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Deen has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Kirkaldie, who put up seven points and seven boards.

Culbertson's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Circle, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.

As of now, neither Culbertson nor Circle have any future games scheduled.
