Baseball Recap: Springboro Gets the Win

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Springboro had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They beat the Lakota East Thunderhawks by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-7. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Thunderhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Springboro's win bumped their record up to 22-9. As for Lakota East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-13.

Coming up, Springboro will square off against Beavercreek at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Beavers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Lakota East does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
