Soccer Recap: Poquoson Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Poquoson was not quite York's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. Poquoson have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Their goal came courtesy of Ashley Groseth, who's now up to nine this season.

Poquoson's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for York, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Poquoson will take on rival Smithfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, York is set to square off against their familiar foe Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
