Academy of Our Lady of Peace extended their home winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Amanda Guzman. The Pilots put the hurt on the Steele Canyon Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday for which the team can thank Guzman, who had 18 digs and two assists. Those assists marked the first that she has posted this season.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Academy of Our Lady of Peace took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-12, 25-11.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Caitlin Prior out in front who had six digs and two aces. Prior is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 29 or more in each of the last six games she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Steele Canyon lost, don't look at Chloe Stock. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and four assists.

Academy of Our Lady of Peace's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Steele Canyon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
