Soccer Recap: BASIS Flagstaff Takes a Loss

BASIS Flagstaff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Holbrook Roadrunners. Even if BASIS Flagstaff couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

BASIS Flagstaff's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Holbrook, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-10.

BASIS Flagstaff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holbrook, they will take on Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Holbrook will be up against Winslow's rather soft defense (which has allowed 7.67 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
