Basketball Recap: Friendship Christian Comes Up Short

Friendship Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 39-28 to the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-29 last Friday.

Thales Academy Rolesville found their leader in sophomore Mary Niebauer, who went 7 of 12 en route to 18 points along with seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Julia Van Valkenburg, who posted nine points and four steals.

Friendship Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Friendship Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they will square off against St. Thomas More Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Thomas More Academy will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Thales Academy Rolesville surely won't give up without a fight.
