Volleyball Recap: Carnegie Vanguard Falls to Fort Bend Marshall in First Game of Season

Carnegie Vanguard had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos. The Rhinos were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buffalos apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Carnegie Vanguard was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Fort Bend Marshall work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-16, 22-25, 25-16.

Coming up, Carnegie Vanguard will square off against Fort Bend Dulles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Bend Marshall, they will face off against Alief Elsik at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
