Lincoln Charter and Union Academy squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Lincoln Charter had to settle for second. They came up short against the Cardinals, falling 3-0. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

While Lincoln Charter ultimately came up short, they really made Union Academy work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-20, 25-23.

Noah Fatzinger paced Lincoln Charter's offense, picking up 11 kills. Fatzinger got some help from Dylan Lemmers and his 22 assists. Dylan Van Cleve and Axel Carballo kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Lincoln Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Union Academy, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home.

As of now, neither Lincoln Charter nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
