Baseball Recap: Bolivar-Richburg Takes a Loss

Bolivar-Richburg lost against Wellsville back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wolverines lost 13-5 to the Lions. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landon Barkley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Bolivar-Richburg's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Wellsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Bolivar-Richburg and Wellsville will both be playing Cuba-Rushford the next time they take the field. The Wolverines will host the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
