Soccer Game Preview: Dinwiddie vs. Matoaca

Dinwiddie hasn't had much luck against Matoaca recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Generals will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Dinwiddie will be strutting in after a win while Matoaca will be coming in after a loss.

Dinwiddie will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Meadowbrook on Thursday. The Generals were the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over the Monarchs. Sydney Ogburn had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Dinwiddie.

Meanwhile, Matoaca didn't have quite enough to beat Prince George on Thursday and fell 2-1.

Dinwiddie's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4-1. As for Matoaca, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-1.

Dinwiddie was able to grind out a solid win over Matoaca in their previous matchup back in March, winning 2-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Generals since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
