It was a good run, but Marquette Catholic unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Monday. They fell 2-0 to the Father McGivney Catholic Griffins. The Explorers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Griffins earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12.

When it comes to explaining why Marquette Catholic lost, don't look at Brooke Keller. Despite the final result, she had nine digs and seven assists.

Among those leading the charge was Dia Villhard, who had 14 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played. Aliyson Roedl also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Marquette Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 18-15. As for Father McGivney Catholic, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 18-12-2.
