Flag Football Recap: Spain Park Comes Up Short in High-Profile Game with Auburn

Spain Park faced Auburn in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Jaguars wound up with the same score they had in their last game (14-7), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The result was an unpleasant reminder to them of the 27-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Jenna Kate Hutchison threw for 188 yards on 16 of 37 attempts.

Spain Park's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Auburn, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.

Spain Park wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 41-6 victory against Mountain Brook on the 21st. As for Auburn, they have also already played their next game, a 26-7 win against Opelika on the 23rd.
